On the outside, I looked healthy enough, and I loved reading all about health fads and dieting – I had all the answers. But food owned me. I was obsessed with rule-following. There was nothing healthy about it. I was feeling worse and worse, month by month, year by year.
“ I realized I needed to really undo a lot of what I thought about food and health, and rebuild based on what my body told me it needed”
I was working towards becoming a personal trainer and in the process started more formal training in nutrition and it just clicked one day. I realized I needed to really undo a lot of what I thought about food and health, and rebuild based on what my body told me it needed – and what was harming it. Now, I’m a registered holistic nutritionist and I believe I can help people best by listening to their symptoms and looking at their live blood. With advanced certification in
live blood analysis, looking at a person’s live blood under a microscope gives us loads of indications about what’s going on between their gut and their overall health. When we fix the gut, the rest of the body falls in line. And how do we fix the gut? With real food.
I believe the body has the innate ability to heal itself if given the opportunity; healing itself from chronic fatigue, mood disorders, joint pain, food sensitivities, allergies, and a host of other health concerns. Nourishing food, movement, time for play and inner reflection, a supportive community, and adequate rest can have a huge impact on your overall health and well being.
