On the outside, I looked healthy enough, and I loved reading all about health fads and dieting – I had all the answers. But food owned me. I was obsessed with rule-following. There was nothing healthy about it. I was feeling worse and worse, month by month, year by year.
“ I realized I needed to really undo a lot of what I thought about food and health, and rebuild based on what my body told me it needed”
I was working towards becoming a personal trainer and in the process started more formal training in nutrition and it just clicked one day. I realized I needed to really undo a lot of what I thought about food and health, and rebuild based on what my body told me it needed – and what was harming it. Now, I’m a registered holistic nutritionist and I believe I can help people best by listening to their symptoms and looking at their live blood.
With advanced certification in live blood analysis, looking at a person’s blood under a microscope gives us tons of indications about what’s going on between their gut, digestion, pH balance, nutrient deficincies, organ imbalances – plus so much more – and their overall health. When we correct the imbalances, the rest of the body falls in line. And how do we do this? With real food.
I believe the body has the innate ability to heal itself if given the opportunity; healing itself from chronic fatigue and infections, mood disorders, joint pain, food sensitivities, allergies, and a host of other health concerns. Nourishing food, movement, time for play and inner reflection, a supportive community, and adequate rest can have a huge impact on your overall health and well being.
