IgG Food Sensitivity Testing
Food intolerance is a digestive concern from lack of enzymes and poor digestion. However if the small intestine is inflamed and/or damaged, partially digested food particles can reach the blood stream and create an IgG immune response, followed by an inflammatory reaction. This is a food sensitivity. If this cycle persists as we continue to consume the “unknown culprit”, health concerns follow.
Common symptoms of food sensitivities include:
- chronic GI problems: IBS, diarrhea, constipation, bloating
- skin problems
- mood imbalances
- headaches and migraines
- joint pain, arthritis, and chronic fatigue
- weight management
- behavioral concerns
IgG antibody detection is the most sensitive allergy food testing available today.While elimination diets can be used to identify problem foods, this ‘trial and error’ approach is often imprecise and time consuming. It can take a long time to identify the offending foods and achieve long-term health improvements.
Detection of food-specific IgG antibodies is a more reliable method to identify foods that may be causing symptoms. By removing the foods that are causing an immune and inflammatory response, we allow the digestive system and body to heal quicker.
The end goal is to eventually reintroduce the (healthy) offending foods.
